Job Title: Access Network Engineer
Location: Lahore
Reports to: Assistant Manager Access Network
Number of Positions: 01
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Flexible for 24×7 ISP Core operations (Shift based role)
- Coordination with regional NOC team for routine or on demand IP core activities
- Work order implementations, Planned maintenance activity
- Vigilant monitoring of Network availability and timely escalations
- Daily/Weekly Network Performance reporting according to pre-defined templates
- WiMAX Network troubleshooting, Site integration
- O&M of ISP infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, SMTP)
- Network solution design and technical documentation
- Network troubleshooting
- Coordination with external teams
Requirements:
Skill Set:
- Have 1-2 years of relevant experience in Telecom/ISP
- Able to work under pressure
- Good command on routing protocols/MPLS/Switching network design, and its O&M.
- Network monitoring tools configuration and administration
- Linux/Windows Server Installation, Patch management, administration
- Strong understanding of Switching and routing techniques, Standards
- Having Certification in IP network domain
- Multivendor experience would be a plus
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Be a natural team leader and team player
- Exhibits high level of creativity, problem solving skills and resourcefulness
- Ability to engage and influence both peers / managers
- Excellent Analytical skills
- Strong leadership & organizational skills
- Flexible, energetic and enthusiastic personality
Education:
- BE/BS Telecommunication/Networks from reputable University
- Cisco/Huawei Certification is desired
Experience:
- Have 1-2 years of relevant experience in Telecom/ISP
